Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and seven to eight years of directly related experience (or equivalent).
• Two years of project management experience or equivalent required.
• Experience in gas or electric utility design or construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees projects that include large subdivisions, commercial and major system improvements; design review, cost estimate approval, and monitoring.
• Monitors field work for compliance and completeness.
• Leads the team to resolve issues requiring direct customer involvement regarding inquiries, rights-of-way, complaints, tree trim requests, and damages.
• Presents projects and participates in capital management process.
• Coordinates job requirements with customers, team members, Gas Engineering, and others outside the team as necessary.
• Participates in project scheduling and assigns priorities to meet requirements.
• Provides training and technical assistance to other Project Leaders and Designers; helps establish training needs.
• Initiates and administers line extension contracts.
• Directs work of others assigned to their project.
• May coordinate gas and/or electric transmission projects or tie-ins between distribution and transmission projects.
• Negotiates and manages contracts for projects, professional services, materials, and equipment.

Education

Bachelor's degree with seven to eight years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.
