Job summary

Capital One in Richmond, VA seeks a Senior Manager, Project Manager to drive strategy and lead execution for high-priority initiatives across the business. You will partner with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to tackle complex challenges and deliver results that boost business performance.

You will oversee end-to-end program management for critical initiatives, provide governance and execution control, coordinate timelines and risks, and synthesize insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
• At least 7 years of project management experience.
• Masters Degree (preferred).
• 10+ years of Project Management experience (preferred).
• 3+ years of People Management experience (preferred).
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification (preferred).
• Experience with software programs or projects (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex programs by providing strategic direction and tactical guidance to project teams, peers, and direct reports.
• Design, develop, and manage comprehensive project plans, adapting strategies to evolving requirements.
• Ensure rigorous project documentation and governance to mitigate risk and ensure on-time delivery.
• Leverage problem-solving and influencing skills to align stakeholder goals with strategy.
• Partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders to drive successful deliverables.
• Build collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries to secure buy-in.
