Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Manager of Project Management in Glenview, IL to lead large-scale initiatives with significant budgets and complexity. You will define team roadmaps, align resources, manage internal and external teams, and drive projects to meet milestones within approved budgets.

Responsibilities include directing end-to-end project development, stakeholder liaison, budget proposals, and continuous improvement across processes and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 10 years in business and project management principles in a large-scale PM capacity.
• 5 years of proven management experience leading a team.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Ability to travel 0-25%.

Responsibilities

• Drive large-scale initiatives with high complexity and risk.
• Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective action.
• Collaborate with leaders to align with strategy and define scope.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements and executive presentations.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and manage changes.
• Assess and prioritize new demand intake.
• Standardize PM processes and governance.
• Manage scope changes and contingencies.
• Estimate resources and staffing needs; negotiate for personnel.
• Develop employees in continuous improvement tools.
• Lead continuous improvement events.
• Align activities with safety, quality, delivery and cost goals.
• Drive strategic thinking and tangible plans.
• Enable process improvements and standards of excellence.
• Foster innovative solutions.
