Dematic is seeking a Project Lead Engineer (PLE) for the Amazon Business Unit in the United States. The candidate will lead engineering deliverables, translate customer requirements into actionable tasks, and coordinate across mechanical and controls teams to deliver on time, on budget, and with quality.

Expect significant collaboration with a global, matrixed organization and travel to customer sites ~40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering ( Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics ).
• 5+ years of experience in engineering or project management.
• Exceptional customer focus and ability to deliver results.
• Demonstrated problem solver with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel to customer and project sites ~40% annually.

Responsibilities

• Translate project contractual technical requirements into scheduled deliverables for engineering teams.
• Identify needed resources across engineering teams and manage the schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure output quality and adherence to standards across the project deliverables.
• Track progress and manage project risks, issues, and milestones.
• Lead technical reviews and report progress to Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Serve as the main technical contact for project management, installation, procurement, and suppliers.
