Senior Project Geologist – EIS Holdings, LLC

Position Overview

EIS Holdings, LLC is a leading provider of environmental consulting services in the petroleum industry. This role focuses on assessing and remediating environmental impacts at retail petroleum sites, primarily under the regulations of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NC DEQ).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior project geologist on a portfolio of environmental projects, supervising and mentoring staff.
• Oversee site assessments, remediation design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Review and analyze environmental data, prepare technical reports, budgets, and proposals.
• Maintain and enhance client and regulatory agency relationships.
• Stay current on evolving industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of NCDOL (North Carolina Department of Labor) requirements.
• Preferred: Licensed Professional Geologist in North Carolina, OSHA 40 certification, CPR/First Aid certification.

Physical Requirements

Communicates with clients, employees, and regulatory personnel in person, over the phone, or via email.

PPE: Steel‑toed footwear, hard hat, safety vest, protective eyewear, gloves.

Travel: 0% – 25% of time.
