Job summary

Solar Landscape, based in Asbury Park, NJ, seeks a Senior Manager, Project Financial Controls to establish the financial governance framework for its project portfolio. You’ll define standards, approvals, documentation, and audits, partnering with corporate finance for audit readiness.

You will oversee budgets, commitments, POs, forecasting, invoices, and closeout, collaborating with Project Management, Procurement, Finance, and leadership to drive disciplined financial management and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, CFM or equivalent experience preferred.
• Significant experience in project controls, project accounting, financial controls, construction finance or similar.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, commitments, purchase orders, forecasts, invoices and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain project financial control policies, standards, procedures and guidance.
• Establish requirements for budget approval, commitment controls, change orders, forecasting and closeout.
• Maintain the project financial control framework aligned with policy and accounting requirements.
• Define documentation, evidence, approvals and segregation of duties for key processes.
• Maintain control calendars, checklists, maps and owners.
• Identify control gaps and recommend improvements.
• Maintain and coordinate periodic review of the Approval Authority Matrix.
• Monitor approvals for auditable evidence and proper authority level.
• Support periodic reviews of financial compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with PMO, Project Accounting, Procurement, Finance and leadership.
