Job summary

Venteon is seeking a Project Accountant to join a general contracting and finished carpentry company in Oakland County. The role covers job start-up, budget control, subcontractor management, owner billings, and change order processing.

You will work with Project Managers and Engineers, ensure timely payments, and maintain accurate job costing to support project profitability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project accounting experience in construction or real estate.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience with Yardi and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Start-up of each job including budgets and scopes.
• Review and issue sub-contractor contracts and maintain files.
• Process owner billings and collect payments from owners.
• Track waivers and sworn statements from sub-contractors.
• Pay subcontractors as payments are received from owners.
• Reconcile job costs monthly to support accurate tracking.
• Support payroll processes and tax deposits.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineers on change orders.
• Uphold integrity and ethics across the team.
