Job summary

First Bank is seeking a VP Project Finance/ BRM at the Waterford Office to lead project financing efforts, manage top corporate client relationships, and drive complex financing transactions including loan syndications.

The role requires extensive experience in project finance, coordinating with banking officers, preparing credit materials, and presenting to credit committees to secure approvals while maintaining strong risk management and client service standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business Administration or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• 8-10 years’ experience in a similar job (focused on Project Finance) or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Source, review and present for approval new transactions and annual reviews (via Credit Approval Memorandums) for all business relationships under management to the Credit Committee or other appropriate lending authority level.
• Underwriting and analyzing loans by evaluating and reviewing loan information, including financial projections, risk mitigation, financial statements, financial models, lender presentations/decks, public filings, datarooms, diligence reports, appraisal reports, and other related loan information.
• Present to credit committee in a credible manner, anticipate potential questions in advance, and respond to related requests accurately and efficiently.
• Work with the Corporate Banking Head in the development and implementation of strategies of corporate banking activities, including structuring of complex financing transactions and loan syndications.
• Maintain a sound operating environment including risk management and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership to ensure staff has required competencies to assess value of businesses, structure financing proposals and market the Bank’s products.
