Job summary

Savannah Tank and Equipment Corporation in Garden City, GA, seeks a dedicated Project Manager to drive customer projects from PO award through final delivery. You will keep customers informed, align internal teams, and maintain critical ship dates across multiple tanks per PO.

You will work on schedules, manage drawings, QC and vendor inputs, and lead productive meetings with clear action items, ensuring timely communication and resolution with leadership support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing multiple concurrent projects in custom fabrication, industrial manufacturing, job-shop production, construction, or similar environment.
• Degree in mechanical engineering or 7+ years practical experience.
• Comfortable working in and around a shop environment.
• Operates independently and brings problems to leadership for resolution.
• Able to run focused, productive meetings with clear agenda and timely decisions.
• Comfortable holding peers accountable across departments and pushing for what the project needs.
• Customer-facing presence, prepared with answers on the spot.
• Ability to read and discuss fabrication drawings and technical documents.
• Disciplined project record keeping and trustworthy data.

Responsibilities

• Own the project from PO award through final delivery; keep customers informed and align internal teams.
• Maintain the project-level schedule with milestones and ship dates; update weekly.
• Track multiple tanks through PRE FAB → FIT → TESTING → FINISHING across stages.
• Lead internal project meetings with clear agendas and accountable owners.
• Lead recurring customer project reviews; walk through progress, milestones, and changes.
• Defend ship date; coordinate with production, engineering, and QC; escalate issues to leadership.
