Job summary

Linbeck Group is seeking a Project Estimator to develop comprehensive project estimates, perform quantity take-offs, and assemble bid packages for construction projects ranging up to multi-million-dollar scopes.

You will analyze drawings, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, and prepare detailed cost summaries to support owner-approval processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and precise documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of total construction experience with a minimum of 2 years as an estimator.
• Intermediate understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and building codes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and specifications to ensure the assigned scope is estimated, contracted, and procured to meet contractual obligations.
• Take-off phase responsibilities including obtaining architect plans and inputting into take-off software.
• Create bid lists and identify subcontractors suitable for projects.
• Direct bid invitations with subcontractors and ensure timely submission of bids.
• Manage scoping of projects and ensure all necessary items are priced.
• Oversee quantity surveys, bid tabulation, and estimate assemblies.
• Interface with subcontractors and suppliers for documentation and pre-qualification.
• Provide guidance to scheduling and project team on estimates.
