Description

CPH is a multi‑disciplined engineering and architectural design firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. CPH is seeking a senior‑level Florida licensed P.E. for a Senior Project Engineer (Engineer IV) opportunity in Water/Wastewater with our dynamic and collaborative team at our Orlando‑Robinson location.

Duties Include
  • Lead and manage the planning, design, and production of lift station, pipeline and/or Water/Wastewater treatment systems, overseeing others, providing Project Managers with scopes, and ensuring alignment with goals, schedules, and budget.
  • Use team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following CPH and client standards and templates.
  • Direct the development of an action plan and estimate requirements for resource management, labor, materials, and time needed to complete the project.
  • Develop deliverables including plans, design reports, and technical specifications.
  • Supervise junior engineers in evaluating shop drawings and oversee construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record.
  • Monitor progress of the development project and compare actual costs with estimates.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing progress and costs for next‑level management.
  • Work with Project Managers to develop scope and man‑hour estimates for various projects.
  • Review and study existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
  • Travel periodically to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation; prepare or review subsequent reports and exhibits.
  • Cooperate with other project engineers from other plants to share similar problems and solutions.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software platforms.
  • Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
  • Comfort with working and collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team.
  • Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi‑task while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of codes, design, and construction practices.
  • Detail‑oriented, quality conscious, reliable, and self‑motivated.
Education and Experience
  • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. license in the state of Florida.
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm with 2+ years holding an active P.E. license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards as they relate to pipeline, lift station, and/or Water/Wastewater facility design.
