Job summary

Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD seeks a Project Engineer IV to join the Uncrewed Air and Land Systems team. You will support full life cycle development, including upgrades, payload design, integration and test for military and commercial customers.

The role requires ownership of design efforts, requirements derivation, and leading cross‑functional reviews with risk management. Travel up to 15%; Secret clearance eligibility is preferred; a BS in engineering and 8 years of related experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline required; graduate degree preferred.
• 8 years of related experience.
• Development of systems architectures and concepts of operations.
• Experience in program planning, control account management, and risk management.
• Experience in leading internal and external programmatic and technical reviews.
• Experience in proposal processes and basis of estimate review.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Program Management to tightly control program schedule and budget.
• Resolve schedule, resource, and technical conflicts.
• Lead multidiscipline teams through complex technical problems and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with functional managers to organize and delegate key tasks.
• Advise management and customers on advanced technical studies and applications.
• Chair or delegate change control boards for projects/products.
• Assess risk and approve Test Readiness Reviews.
• Develop discretionary funding plans outlining program needs.
• Provide recommendations to senior management on risk acceptance.
• Develop proposals and basis of estimates for new opportunities.
• Manage and control system configurations and bills of materials.
• Develop and deliver program technical CDRLs.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
