Zaddy Solutions in Savannah, GA area seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead the engineering on a major I-95 widening project. You’ll manage submittals, RFIs, cost reporting and scheduling with Primavera P6, coordinate subs and material deliveries, and work with owners, DOT inspectors and design engineers.

Requires 5+ years in heavy civil highway/bridge projects and a Civil Engineering or related degree; relocation for a multiyear assignment is welcome.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports, and change orders.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• Savannah area based or willing to relocate for multiyear project.
• Bridge experience is a plus; DOT experience is a plus; EIT/PE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the project and field engineers on the team
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent, with real time in the field on bridge and roadway work

Senior Project Engineer, Heavy Civil / Highway & Bridge

Location: Savannah, GA area

A large national heavy civil contractor is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for a major multiyear I-95 widening project in the Savannah, GA area. This is a strong opportunity for a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with highway and bridge experience who wants a long runway on a landmark job and a real path to Project Manager. You’ll run the engineering side of an interstate widening with major bridge work and new interchanges, much of it state DOT work. Locals in Savannah and the Lowcountry are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil highway, bridge or DOT projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
• Hands on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports and change orders
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office
• Bridge experience (structures, foundations, drilled shafts or piling) is a plus
• SCDOT, GDOT or other state DOT experience is a plus
• EIT or PE is a plus
• Based in the Savannah area or ready to relocate for a multiyear project
