Hydrasearch is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Stevensville, MD to act as a key technical contributor accelerating engineering development for aerospace and defense programs. This hands-on role involves design, prototype, validation, and transition to production within a small, agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 4–8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or product-based environments.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and understanding of the engineering development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated capability in structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience bringing technical projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong ownership mentality and personal accountability for results.
• Ability to move quickly with limited information and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical execution contributor across all initiatives.
• Drive development efforts from concept through validated solution.
• Translate technical ideas into executable engineering work.
