This individual will be responsible for pursuing new projects, leading teams of junior engineers, and maintaining/growing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for wastewater engineering projects including design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors
  • Design and oversee construction of wastewater collection systems and treatment facilities
  • Work within multi-disciplinary projects involving civil, electrical, and architectural aspects
  • Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities
  • Ensure quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Maintain budgets, schedules, and client communication
  • Coordinate and attend meetings
  • Guide junior engineers, technicians, and project team members
  • Assist clients with project financing and funding development

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • PE registration preferred or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • 6+ years of municipal civil engineering experience, with a focus on wastewater
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Strong reputation for integrity, fairness, and good judgment
  • Ability to complete pre-employment screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Experience with wastewater treatment and collection systems
  • Leadership experience in projects and initiatives
  • Ability to multitask effectively

Physical Qualifications

  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain, stand, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Willingness to wear PPE and work flexible hours including occasional travel
