Job summary

Primoris is seeking a Distinguished Project Engineer in the United States to oversee design document reviews, maintain engineering integrity, and ensure safety and quality standards across projects. You will support HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA activities, coordinate with multiple teams, and manage RFIs from contractors.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or electrical engineering (ABET-accredited), 10+ years in power plant/data center settings, and preferably a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with simple and combined cycle power plant/data center projects.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure EPC contractor delivers process engineering work and deliverables per standards, FEED, and contractual requirements.
• Work with Engineering team to ensure design is safe, fit for purpose and reliable.
• Participate and provide technical expertise on HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and Review of MOC.
• Assist with reviewing process documents, guidelines and project specifications, and follow up on due time.
• Ensure project is executed in accordance with safety regulations, quality conformance, and schedule.
• Assist with reviewing project philosophies, process control narratives, design specifications, and other process documents.
• Ensure efficient communication with other engineering, operational and functional team members.
• Call for support from other engineering disciplines for multi-discipline issues.
• Maintain technical integrity of engineering & design.
• Answer technical queries and RFIs from contractors.
• Participate in key design reviews and ensure readiness.
• Monitor changes against baseline scope.
