Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA, invites you to join as a Senior Project Engineer, supporting the Poland AP1000 Project with a hybrid, mobile role. You will lead engineering activities, coordinate programs, and ensure delivery aligns with commercial and contractual requirements.

You will report to the Poland Project Engineering Manager, collaborate across disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and help drive change control while upholding safety, quality, and integrity

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering experience in nuclear, defense, or regulated industries.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Willingness to travel internationally to support project development.
• Familiarity with technical requirement management.
• Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, rules and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for engineering activities and coordinate design implementation.
• Coordinate/monitor assigned engineering projects, contractual tasks, or associated deliverables.
• Assist Project Manager with all change control processes.
• Collaborate with external and internal teams to satisfy commercial and technical requirements.
• Support execution of assigned tasks and mentor novice engineers.
• Review and support delivery of engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions.

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support aspects of project-related tasks. These tasks ensure that project planning, design, implementation, and completion meet the requirements of the commercial and contractual requirements defined within the Poland AP1000 Project.

You will report to the Poland Project Engineering Manager and work a mobile/hybrid role based in Cranberry, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be further provide technical direction for engineering activities. These activities include the definition and coordination for design implementation, task coordination of program plans. Additionally, you will ensure continuous improvement approaches to ensure activities are consistent with Westinghouse mission values and goals.
• Coordinate/monitor the assigned engineering projects, contractual tasks, or associated deliverables assigned
• Assist Project Manager with all change control processes (i.e., additional scope requests, variation orders)
• Work with the external and team members to interpret and implement the needs and determine how to satisfy commercial and technical requirements
• Support execution of assigned task and mentor novice engineers
• Partner with project manager, and other project and technical functional disciplines
• Review and support delivery of engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in engineering roles (project, manufacturing, or quality) within nuclear, defense, or regulated industries.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
• Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project development
• Familiarity with technical requirement management
• Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
• Work with multiple discipline projects
• Project management skills
• Prior Westinghouse AP1000 knowledge helpful

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
