Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Lead Engineer for APX Fleet Design Management to guide design strategy and standardization for the AP1000 plant fleet under development.

You will report to the Senior Manager, APX Fleet Design Management and be based at the Cranberry Township, PA location with a hybrid schedule (onsite 2 days per week). The role leads technical teams across NI and TI design activities and collaborates with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a technical leadership role, either as a technical lead or project manager.
• Experience in AP1000 plant or new nuclear plant design helpful.
• Experience in multiple engineering disciplines and process development/improvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define Design & Delivery Strategies for Nuclear Island (NI) and Turbine Island (TI) design and delivery, including standardization across suppliers.
• Define and maintain the design baseline and standard Index of Engineering Documents.
• Shape strategies for metrication and requirements management.
• Lead main technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with partners, suppliers, fabricators, and customers.
• Identify and define technical risks and direct efforts to successful resolution.
