Job summary

Element Consulting, Inc., based out of El Segundo, CA, serves the Los Angeles area and seeks a Project Engineer III to support the College Project Leadership Team. You will assist CPLT members, run design or construction meetings, perform field checks, and prepare written materials and board action requests to the District.

You will coordinate with the Design Team for conformance reviews and timely responses to information requests, submittals, construction change documents, and maintain project

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project or construction management for commercial/educational facilities.
• BS/BA degree required.
• Preferred: experience on educational programs/projects and DSA projects.

Responsibilities

• Support CPLT members in performing their responsibilities.
• Lead design or construction meetings when needed.
• Conduct field checks and prepare reports, guidelines, meeting minutes, and board action requests.
• Maintain project files in electronic and paper formats.

Job description

• General Position Description: The Project Engineer III's primary responsibility is to provide support and assistance to the College Project Leadership Team (CPLT) members in the performance of their respective responsibilities. The Project Engineer II is expected at times to step into the roles of more senior members of the CPLT, including, without limitation, running design or construction meeting, conducting field checks, preparing written and photographic materials including correspondence, reports, procedures, guidelines, meeting minutes, and proposed board action requests to the District. The Project Engineer III coordinates with the Design Team for conformance review and timely and accurate responses to requests for information, submittals, construction change documents, etc. The Project Engineer III is the person primarily responsible to maintain project files in both electronic and paper format
• Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in project or construction management of commercial and/or public or educational facility construction projects. BS/BA Degree
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on educational programs/projects. Experience on Division of State Architect (DSA) projects

Salary dependent on education and experience. Salary range: $105K-$125K
