Summary: The Project Engineer 1 is the most senior Project Engineer and is responsible for coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects. Plans, scheduled, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work, monitor wok for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and TCI standards; ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects between all disciplines and all other project participants.
Reports to: Project Manager
Responsibilities and Duties PE 1 (Must be able to complete all duties of PE2 and PE3)
- Assists with manage weekly recap
- Review submittals for Divisions 13 and 16
- Assists with monthly and quarterly profit projections
- Utilize bid book for production budgeting
- Cost code bid book
- Set up Recap and Buy out sheet
Responsibilities and Duties PE 2 (Must be able to complete all duties of PE3)
- Assists with buyout (purchase orders) of project for Divisions 11 and 15
- Participate with monthly and quarterly profit projections
- Assist in pending change order estimates by analyzing labor and equipment productivity
- Review submittals for Divisions 11 and 15
- Input production units into mobile applications
- Review and cost code packing slips
- Supervise technical pipe testing and concrete testing
- Assist in Set up Recap and Buy out sheet
Responsibilities and Duties PE3
- Assists with buyout (purchase orders) of project for Divisions 2, 3, 5, 6-10, 13 and 16
- Assists with project schedules, input in Primavera P6 and update monthly
- Participation in weekly progress meetings
- Track material deliveries
- Review submittals for Divisions 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6-10
- Create bill of material, detailed layout, installation of equipment, pipe, etc.
- Perform elevation surveys and layout and keep accurate field book
- Assist in pending change order estimates by sourcing and pricing materials
- Compile, enter and submit request for information (RFI)
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Relevant construction or engineering industry experience.
- Field experience in estimating, purchasing, submittal review, CAD, and cost control.
- Experience in concrete, excavation, underground and exposed piping.
- Experience in heavy civil or mechanical type projects.
- Mechanically minded problem solver with excellent math aptitude.
- Highly, motivated organized and detail-oriented.
- Professional with effective communication skills to keep people on task.
- Results-oriented with ability to manage people and tasks in a deadline driven environment.
