The Aerospace Corporation in Crystal City, VA, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Technical Project Management to lead nuclear nonproliferation initiatives, applying program management best practices and cross-disciplinary analysis. The role is on-site with a four-day in-office expectation.

This position requires a BS in Nuclear Engineering or a related field, 12+ years in technical nonproliferation disciplines, 8+ years in leadership, and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Nuclear Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in technical areas related to nuclear nonproliferation.
• 8+ years in project and/or program management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with U.S. government agencies (DOE/NNSA/DoD).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support DNN decision making by planning and executing technical studies and analyses.
• Work with DNN team as SME to identify issues, challenges, and solutions.
• Design methods to collect, analyze, and visualize data for customers.
• Develop processes and metrics to measure program progress and improvements.
• Conduct analysis of data sets and deliver technical information for decision makers.
• Support a portfolio of high-impact projects with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Perform project management activities leveraging Aerospace capabilities.
• Conduct time-sensitive strategic analysis at the intersection of technology and policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to shape strategic approaches to technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to extend Aerospace value to DNN and related missions.
