About the role:

As a Senior Project Engineer for new projects, you will support the New Plants Engineering team within the US-based International AP1000 Project Engineering department. You will engage with a broad range of nuclear power plant design topics to support Westinghouse's international market development and project capture efforts. The department comprises two groups: one US-based and one Europe-based (EMEA New Plants Engineering). These groups collaborate to fulfill the department's mission.


You will report to the IMS, BIM, and Digital Design Integration PEM. This position is hybrid-based in Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Woods, PA. No relocation assistance is provided. Candidates authorized to work in the US without sponsorship are encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:
  • Strengthen Nuclear Safety Culture Traits and Human Performance tools.
  • Support bid and proposal efforts across European countries, collaborating with Engineering, Licensing, SCM, and QA teams.
  • Achieve results with high accountability, supporting FEED and New Build Project milestones while managing multiple tasks.
  • Develop solutions for technical, commercial, and financial challenges.
  • Build internal and external relationships across organizational boundaries.
  • Create flexible project plans, including schedules and budgets for New Build AP1000 projects.
  • Lead team meetings and ensure deliverables are met as planned.
  • Guide decision-making to meet technical, commercial, and schedule requirements.
  • Leverage expertise across disciplines and locations.
  • Manage AP1000 design configurations, digital design, and IMS.
  • Ensure compliance with AP1000 design criteria and governing codes.
  • Lead internal projects, such as process improvements for future estimation.
  • Manage the AP1000 Index of Engineering Documents (IED).
  • Author project plans related to configuration management, digital design, and IMS.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of project engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
