Job summary

Fehr Graham's Champaign, IL office seeks a Senior Project Engineer-Municipal to lead complex civil design projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure technical quality. You will coordinate with clients, review calculations, and manage budgets and schedules.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s in Civil Engineering, 8+ years’ experience in civil design, and a PE license or ability to reciprocity. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Eight+ years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project design efforts.
• Apply engineering principles and judgment.
• Review and validate calculations, plans and reports.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Proactively address project challenges.
• Develop and maintain client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
