Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support Lime Kiln, Recausticizing, and White Liquor Plant (WLP) systems across North America. This role is ideal for maintenance, reliability, or operations professionals looking to take on greater project ownership and customer engagement.

You will lead technical service and upgrade projects from planning through execution, manage scopes and budgets, coordinate stakeholders, and drive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in pulp & paper operations, maintenance, reliability, field service, or project execution.
• Experience leading or supporting outages, shutdowns, or turnaround activities.
• Strong customer-facing and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Lead Critical Mill Reliability, Outages & Service Projects

ANDRITZ is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support Lime Kiln, Recausticizing, and White Liquor Plant (WLP) systems across North America.

This role is ideal for a maintenance, reliability, technical service, or operations professional within the pulp and paper industry who is ready to take on greater project ownership, customer engagement, and technical leadership.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical service and upgrade projects from planning through execution
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and customer communications
• Coordinate contractors, field crews, mill personnel, and project stakeholders
• Support inspections, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and reliability improvements
• Coordinate outage, shutdown, and turnaround activities
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective action plans
• Partner with customers to identify and develop future service and upgrade opportunities

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in pulp & paper operations, maintenance, reliability, field service, or project execution
• Experience leading or supporting outages, shutdowns, or turnaround activities
• Strong customer-facing and project coordination skills
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and driving reliability improvements
• Ability to travel 25–50% throughout North America
