Job summary

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer 1 in Anderson, SC to manage engineering contributions on new product development and support mature products. Competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

The role requires leading product architecture design for high-volume manufacturing, providing guidance to designers, and ensuring specs and regulatory compliance. Travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years in similar field of work.
• Expertise with design software (SolidWorks and/or NX).
• Ability to communicate across all functional areas and internationally.
• Demonstrates an urgent and proactive approach, while capable of working autonomously or collaboratively as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all technical contributions on assigned new product development programs and support of mature products.
• Drive evolution of product function to meet consumer/value-driven design guides and fulfill cost, timing and reliability goals.
• Lead design of product architecture suitable for high volume manufacturing processes.
• Provide direction to design team members to create and develop layout and data packages.
• Analyze, evaluate and select design execution approaches.
• Prove designs meet specifications and implement into mass production.
• Accountable for all technical elements of product execution including material selection and safety.
