Strong background in land development, stormwater, wastewater, and related disciplines is preferred. The position emphasizes independent work, technical leadership, and sign-off on finalized engineering documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or scientific field.
Professional Engineer (P.E., L.S.) in one or more states preferred.
7+ years of design/engineering experience and authority to sign documents.
Strong verbal and technical writing skills; read technical literature and plans.

Responsibilities

Direct and independently complete engineering designs using professional judgment.
Assist or act as Project Manager; assign tasks and schedules to team members.
QA/QC accuracy checks on tasks by staff.
Make major design decisions to meet client needs and coordinate with related work.
Identify issues (technical, schedule, financial) and seek resolution with PM or client.
Assist in bidding or contractor selection when authorized.
Monitor construction and supervise field personnel on tasks.
