Job summary

HEICO seeks a Senior Project Engineer to support QA, supply chain, suppliers, and customers in ensuring airworthy flight hardware remains safe and reliable.

The role involves interpreting drawings, assessing non-conforming materials, managing engineering changes, and contributing to design reviews and production part testing. Collaboration with customers and junior engineers is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting drawings and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to evaluate non-conforming materials for fit, function, safety and reliability.
• Proven experience completing engineering changes with substantiation and drawing updates.
• Ability to support customers and operators on product performance.
• Participation in design reviews for supplier or product changes and improvements.
• Experience reviewing first article inspections and changes to production parts.
• Provide feedback to suppliers on manufacturing process plans.
• Guide junior engineers on designs, regulations and procedures.
• Develop test plans for production parts.
• Design tooling or fixtures to aid inspection of production parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for QA, Supply Chain and suppliers about drawing interpretation and inspection methods.
• Evaluate non-conforming materials and communicate with QA, Supply Chain and suppliers.
• Complete engineering changes with substantiation and drawing changes.
• Support customers and operators regarding products.
• Participate in design reviews for changes and improvements.
• Review first article inspections and production part documentation.
• Offer feedback to suppliers on manufacturing process plans.
• Mentor junior engineers on designs and procedures.
• Develop production part test plans and tooling designs.
• Other related duties as assigned.
