Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for the Hot Section Engineering team to own part-level CIPT tasks for the F135 Nozzle and 3BSM module. You will plan and execute tasks, interfacing with engineering management, program management, suppliers and government customers.

The role requires a BS in STEM with 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years. Travel up to 10% is expected; U.S. citizenship is required. Onsite role at Jupiter, FL with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and interfacing with management, program management, suppliers, and government customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience with nozzle or exhaust design and development is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accountable to CIPT for part-level planning and execution, including communication, risk management and execution to program requirements.
• Provide support and leadership to F135 Nozzle and 3BSM IPT.
• Plan, propose and execute development, production and sustainment improvement tasks.
• Interface directly with a wide team spanning all portions of the F135 program.
• Communicate with the F135 leadership and government contacts on a weekly basis.
• CAM responsible for schedule and budget for various tasks, with travel up to 10%.
