Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) is looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer to support our Operational Military Engines HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT).
What You Will Do
- The project engineer in this position will provide team support to the Rotors IPT made up of Project, Design, Structural, Aero, and Systems engineers.
- The IPT’s are tasked with sustaining fielded engines through product deficiency investigations and product enhancements.
- The IPT’s also resolve manufacturing and overhaul issues in support of spares part deliveries and fleet sustainment.
- The Project Engineer will work with the IPTL, Sr. IPTL, and CIPT to plan, acquire, and manage appropriate budgets for specific IPT tasks.
- The Project Engineer will support the IPT as as a focal point to internal and external customers as well as review and process Class 1 & 2 engineering changes.
- Prepare and present task status and technical content to the CIPT and Compression Systems Engineering management as well as prepare and present monthly EV status of all tasks that require EVMS
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years experience OR
- Advanced degree with 3+ years’ experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Communication and organizational skills.
- Prior Project experience or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and execute several components of complex tasks.
- Trained CAM & Proficiency with Teamcenter, Smartsheet or other scheduling software and SAP a plus.

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)
Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.
Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
