Job summary

Ampcus Inc is seeking a journey-level engineer to lead the engineering and design of complex projects. The role requires independent judgment and collaboration with engineers, project managers, construction personnel, and external vendors.

Expect about 20% travel for project-related functions. The position is hybrid, with work from a remote office and an assigned in-territory location based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited US curriculum.
• 3 years of cumulative experience in engineering and design.

Responsibilities

• Resolve problems of moderate scope using standard solutions.
• Independently plan work under general direction; progress reviewed periodically for technical accuracy.
• Perform functions of Associate level Engineer as needed.
• Provide technical expertise, conduct engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs.
• Present findings to internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct walkdowns and design review meetings.
• Prepare technical documents including design criteria, scope documents, specifications, and reports.
• Develop, evaluate, and recommend alternative project proposals.
• Solicit, prepare, and evaluate contracts/proposals from engineering consultants.
• Review consultant contracts for technical compliance.
• Interpret and apply applicable codes and regulations.
• Participate in developing restoration plans and assist in root cause analysis.
• Approve reports, new drawings, and revisions to existing drawings.
• Respond promptly to facility failures in emergencies.
• Represent us to government bodies for assigned projects.
