Base pay range

$108,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

BKF Engineers is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with a strong background in Land Development and a passion for delivering technically sound, high-quality projects. This senior-level role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in leading projects from concept to completion. You\'ll play a key role in shaping project direction, providing strategic input, and guiding teams through complex engineering challenges with clarity and confidence.

We\'re looking for a candidate who combines deep technical expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D with strong leadership and mentorship skills. In this role, you\'ll support quality control efforts, mentor junior staff, and ensure clear communication with both internal teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities

Project Design for Site Development
Grading and Drainage Plans
Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies, preparation of specifications and cost estimates
Project Management Assistance: Budgeting, Schedules, Client Care, Invoicing
Design Team collaboration, and support
Roadway/Streets final design package - Plan, Profile, Cross Sections
Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
Knowledge of Federal, State, City and County Standards
Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies
Preparation of Specifications and Quantity Takeoffs/Cost Estimates

Requirements

6+ years of experience in site development, design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works
B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
Professional Engineering license in the State of California is highly preferred
AutoCAD and Civil 3D mastery required

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Benefits

The typical base salary range for this position is 103,000 - $140,000 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is a salary position paid biweekly
