Job description

Overview

BKF Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer with strong technical expertise and a proven track record in land development design and civil engineering. In this role you will independently apply standard civil engineering principles and judgment to a variety of projects, from small-scale developments to major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Project Design for Site Development
Grading and Drainage Plans
Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
Preparation of specifications and cost estimates
Roadway/Street final design package — Plan, Profile, Cross Sections
Roadway Design: Streetscape, Green Streets, Bicycle Path Plans
Adherence to Federal, State, City and County Standards
Report Preparation and Conceptual Studies
Projects include residential, commercial, mixed-use and public works projects

Requirements

2 - 6 years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works
B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
EIT/ FE certification preferred
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
Strong communication skills

Physical Demands

Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions

Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $95,200 - $129,800 per year, depending on skills, experience, education, and location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly
