Senior Project Engineer, Audio Visual Systems - NY

Position Overview

Our New York office is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Systems Designer. Your title will be Senior Project Engineer within the company. With guidance and mentorship from senior engineers, you will develop project management skills. It is a hands-on role that offers an opportunity to be part of a growing, industry-leading team. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and proactive. This role is a career development position; you will undertake work assignments of increasing complexity and contribute to team objectives and outcomes.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop audiovisual design requirements by meeting with clients and working with internal design teams.
• Design and coordinate AV systems with architectural and engineering disciplines for various spaces.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts and system schematics.
• Lead coordination meetings and document detailed minutes.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's in Engineering or related discipline. CTS certification is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of AV design, planning, and project management experience.
• Expertise with video and audio conferencing systems.
• Knowledge of key AV products from major manufacturers.
• Experience with control system design, including Crestron and others.
• Knowledge of computer networks related to IP-based audio/video transport and UC conferencing.
• Understanding of sound system requirements and integration.
• Experience with RFP resource management.
• Advanced AutoCAD and Revit skills.
• AVIXA CTS / CTS-D certification is a plus.
• Manufacturer certifications and rendering software skills are advantageous.
• Basic MS Office skills.
