Job summary

Bastian Automation LLC is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the engineering design and execution support for automotive conveyor and automated systems, including ASRS, AutoStore, and robotic solutions. You will own cradle-to-grave layouts, ensure compliance with OEM standards, and support on-site installation and commissioning with customers.

You will collaborate with project managers, controls, manufacturing, purchasing, and installation teams to meet schedule, scope, and cost objectives,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3–7 years of experience in Project Engineering or system design for automotive conveyors.
• Experience with ASRS, AutoStore, conveyor sortation, and robotic automation.
• Strong understanding of automotive OEM standards and engineering documentation.
• CAD proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.
• Eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support schedule, scope, and cost objectives with Project Managers.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables with controls, manufacturing, purchasing, installation, and commissioning teams.
• Prepare BOMs and engineering documentation to support procurement and manufacturing.
• Identify technical risks early and support mitigation planning.
• Provide engineering input during on-site installation and startup.
• Interface with customers during design reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers as assigned.
