Job summary

ABB Energy Industries in Houston seeks a seasoned engineer to lead and design Distributed Control System projects across energy sectors. You will ensure on-time delivery, comply with safety guidelines, and collaborate with customers and internal teams.

Hybrid work in the Greater Houston area, with opportunities to work on US and global projects and to drive technical excellence in control systems and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or CS.
  • 5+ years experience in engineering for DCS projects.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and safety guidelines.
  • Fluent English reading/writing/speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and delivery of DCS projects for energy sectors.
  • Collaborate with customers to shape solutions.
  • Support project managers with budgets, risks, and safety.
  • Resolve technical issues remotely and on site.

Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to:Engineering Manager__In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead and/or design authority for Process Automation engineering projects in Renewable, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power Generation, Water treatment industries both in US and global projects, making technical recommendations and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.In this role, you will ensure successful Distributed Control System delivery of multiple projects on time, within budget, and in line with specifications and with quality and safety guidelines.The work model for the role is: Hybrid (must by in Greater Houston Area) {#LI-Hybrid}This role is contributing to the Automation Energy Industries Division in the US.You will be mainly accountable for:Working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions, and utilizing feedback to drive delivery of improvements for medium complex projectsCost-effectively executing Distributed Control System project deliverables on time in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirementsResolving technical issues both remotely and at customer sites in US and abroadAssisting Project Managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards, as well as technical details, costs, and deliverables for sales proposals.
