Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead day-to-day project coordination for the first AP1000 reactors in Poland, overseeing schedule and budget performance and supporting engineering leadership to achieve project objectives. You will report to the Senior Project Engineering Manager Poland Engineering and be located at one of our US Engineering locations.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally to support the Poland Project.
• Experience or cognizance in nuclear systems design or related engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with plant layout integration and civil/structural engineering aspects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate progress with Functional Area Leads to ensure scope execution.
• Manage project schedule and budgeting.
• Serve as the lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and the Project Coordinator.
• Support the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as required.

About the role:

As a Principal Project Engineer you will lead day-to-day project coordination for the first AP1000 reactors in Poland, overseeing schedule and budget performance, facilitating communication with Functional Area Leads, and supporting engineering leadership to ensure project objectives are achieved

You will report to the Senior Project Engineering Manager Poland Engineering and be located at one of our US Engineering locations. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration at our office

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with support of Functional Area Lead(s) to ensure progress and scope execution
• Responsible for the managing the schedule and budgeting
• Lead point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinator
• Supports the Project Engineering Manager and Design Technical Lead as required

Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience,
• Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project
• Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:
  • Nuclear systems design
  • Turbine Island/Balance of Plant systems or structural design
  • NSSS components design and analyses
  • Piping layout and/or analysis
  • Plant layout integration
  • Civil, Structural and Architectural engineering
  • Electrical design
  • Establish networks across multiple teams

Beneficial:

• Experience with AP1000, AP300, or eVinci

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
