Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Spring, TX
Job Overview: The Project Engineer will orchestrate engineering and design tasks, assist the Project Manager, and ensure projects are delivered safely, economically, and efficiently. Tasked with upholding project timelines, tracking budgets, and clearly conveying goals, this role encompasses managing outputs, field engineering, and project documentation while promoting teamwork with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties:
Oversee project outputs, engineering coordination, budget tracking, communications, field support, and reporting by leveraging team resources effectively.
Create and update the master project schedule using CPM methods and suitable software, guiding team members in schedule development.
Administer document control, ensuring all records are generated, organized, and shared with internal and external parties.
Analyze plans, specifications, and contract terms for adherence, spotting and addressing field challenges or cost efficiencies.
Align internal and external design resources to achieve project milestones and perform constructability assessments for enhanced execution.
Track project uncertainties, support quality control initiatives, and manage aspects of primary and secondary contracts.
Identify and communicate project scope changes, assess their impact, and collaborate with field teams, clients, and suppliers.
Mentor and guide team members, cultivating a collaborative environment and enhancing performance.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols by recognizing and mitigating workplace risks.
Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; preference for Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Over 10 years of experience in engineering, procurement, and fabrication (EPF) or engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) settings.
Demonstrated expertise in project oversight, scheduling, contract administration, field support, and materials management.
Competence in InEight (Intermediate), Primavera P6 (Advanced), Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate), and Bluebeam (Basic).
Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in interpreting two-dimensional drawings and visualizing them in three dimensions.
Physical demands: Ability to reach, stand, walk, grasp, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive tasks; sedentary role with occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
