Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Florida program and construction management team. The role can sit in Altamonte Springs, Orlando, Lakeland, or Tampa offices and will lead a CC EI contract team on complex projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida PE, 12+ years of experience, and CTQP Quality Control Manager along with FDOT Advanced MOT certifications. You will plan, guide, and deliver high-profile projects while pursuing future opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer.
  • 12 years of Engineering experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by policies.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the Consultant Construction Engineering and Inspection (CCEI) contract team.
  • Direct a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection project/program.
  • Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Review programs for conformance with Client standards.
  • Identify and pursue future opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships to support project delivery and follow-on work.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds and resources.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer
12 years of Engineering experience
Valid Driver’s License

Be involved in projects with our Florida, Program and Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Engineer in Central Florida. This role can sit out of the Altamonte Springs, Orlando, Lakeland, or Tampa office.

Your Impact
  • Participate as a member of the Consultant Construction Engineering and Inspection (CCEI) contract team
  • Direct a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection project/program
  • Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
  • Review programs for conformance with Client standards
  • Identify and pursue future opportunities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects and the successful pursuit of follow-on assignments
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Certifications (must have or achieve within 3 months)
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager (Pass Exam)
  • FDOT Advanced MOT
