Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Central Florida, with possible seating in Altamonte Springs, Orlando, Lakeland, or Tampa offices. You will lead CEI transportation projects across Central Florida and manage a large CEI team to meet client objectives.

The ideal candidate has a Florida PE, 12 years of engineering experience, and a strong track record in safety and compliance. This full-time role offers a pathway to advanced responsibilities within a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer.
  • 12 years of Engineering experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the Consultant Construction Engineering and Inspection (CCEI) contract team.
  • Direct a complex CEI project/program overseeing transportation work.
  • Plan and organize the work of staff; develop project policies and procedures.
  • Review programs for conformance with Client standards.
  • Identify and pursue future opportunities.
  • Maintain professional relationships with client organizations to enable project success and follow-on work.
  • Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies.

This Opportunity

Be involved in projects with ourFlorida, Program and Construction Management Teamand be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. WSP is currently initiating a search for aSenior Project Engineer in Central Florida. This role can sit out of the Altamonte Springs, Orlando, Lakeland, or Tampa office.

This individual will support high-profile and alternative delivery transportation-market projects throughout Central Florida. This will require a seasoned leader capable of managing a large CEI team and complex transportation projects.

Your Impact
  • Participate as a member of the Consultant Construction Engineering and Inspection (CCEI) contract team
  • Direct a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection project/program
  • Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
  • Review programs for conformance with Client standards
  • Identify and pursue future opportunities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects and the successful pursuit of follow‑on assignments
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs
Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • State of Florida Registered Professional Engineer
  • 12 years of Engineering experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Certifications (must have or achieve within 3 months)
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager (Pass Exam)
  • FDOT Advanced MOT #LI-JR1
