Job Description:

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Atlanta!

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing agendas and minutes for weekly construction meetings and actively participating in these meetings.
  • Assisting the Project Manager with project procurement, including developing subcontractor RFP bid forms and evaluation spreadsheets, understanding unit costs, and bid evaluation and award procedures.
  • Assisting in owner change pricing, preparing billings, and reviewing invoices.
  • Under supervision on small projects, preparing and controlling budgets and schedules, awarding and negotiating subcontracts, participating in jobsite coordination meetings, reviewing job status, preparing profit projections, and completing punchlists and project close-out items.
  • Supporting the estimating process by learning take-off software and conducting unit cost analysis through preparing quantity take-offs.
  • Monitoring assigned subcontracts, schedules, material deliveries, and subcontractor manpower.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in a construction-related field.
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations, interpret architectural and engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost-coding systems.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and communicate effectively.
  • Minimum six months of jobsite experience before advancing to Project Management or Field roles.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as needed.
  • PE certification is an entry-level preference; previous intern experience is a plus.

  • Verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
