Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead utility modernization and energy efficiency projects in industrial and commercial settings. You will conduct site surveys, analyze infrastructure, and develop investment‑grade cost estimates while coordinating with clients and internal/external teams to deliver high‑quality designs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–10 years of relevant experience, with preferred credentials such as PE, CEM, or LEED AP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in development, design, or delivery of utility system modernization or energy efficiency projects.
  • Experience supporting industrial and/or commercial projects.
  • Technical experience with utility, HVAC, mechanical, or related infrastructure systems.
  • Ability to independently manage engineering work and coordinate with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • PE license or Certified Energy Manager (preferred) or LEED AP credential (preferred).
  • Strong financial and economic analysis, including lifecycle cost analysis and ROI evaluation (preferred).

  • Perform feasibility studies and technical evaluations for utility modernization.
  • Develop project scopes, engineering assumptions, savings calculations, and investment‑grade cost estimates.
  • Prepare technical recommendations, project economics, and supporting documentation for proposals.
  • Lead design engineering activities to ensure quality and alignment with objectives.
  • Coordinate internal and external engineering resources to deliver design work on time and within scope.
  • Manage engineering support during implementation, including design‑build coordination and integration of incentives.
