The Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions that support project and operational objectives. This role applies core engineering principles to analyze requirements, develop designs, and support execution across utility design and construction-related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop systems, components, and processes in alignment with project specifications and operational requirements
- Perform engineering analysis, testing, and evaluations to ensure safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project management, construction, and operations to support successful project delivery
- Prepare and review technical documentation including reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues, providing practical and cost-effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution activities as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to discipline (e.g., CAD, modeling, analysis tools)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering data
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work across teams and stakeholders
- Solid understanding of industry standards, codes, and engineering best practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility design or related project/construction design
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
