Job summary

Per Sé Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support large-scale utility renewable energy projects, primarily in the construction phase. This external contractor role offers flexible work location, with preference for candidates in Central or Eastern time zones.

You will bridge Project Engineers and Technical Project Managers to ensure EPC execution aligns with designs and schedules. The position involves desktop work with limited site visits, coordinating with EPCs, reviewing drawings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience with utility-scale Solar PV and/or Energy Storage projects, including EPC exposure.
• Strong understanding of construction-phase workflow and EPC responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC and electrical codes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and PVsyst.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support construction-phase execution of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage projects.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors to ensure engineering deliverables, schedules, and technical requirements are met.
• Review and validate construction drawings, electrical diagrams, and Solar PV layouts.
• Track technical issues, RFIs, and change impacts during construction and support resolution with EPC and internal teams.
• Support limited development-phase projects as bandwidth allows, including technical reviews and constructability input.
• Participate in occasional site visits for supervision, inspections, and coordination meetings.
• Serve as a technical liaison between internal engineering teams, EPCs, and project stakeholders.

The Senior Project Engineer will support large-scale utility renewable energy projects with a primary focus on projects in the construction phase. • 5+ years of experience supporting utility-scale Solar PV and/or Energy Storage projects, with direct exposure to EPC execution.
• Strong understanding of the construction-phase workflow and EPC responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and PVsyst.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams across construction and development activities.
• Experience working as a contractor or in matrixed project environments preferred.
