Senior Project Engineer – Municipal

Do you thrive on leading others and tackling projects? Fehr Graham is a fast‑growing Midwest engineering and environmental firm looking for a motivated Senior Project Engineer—Municipal to join our team.

Location

The position is based in our Champaign, IL office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project design efforts.
• Apply engineering principles and judgment.
• Review and validate calculations, plans, and reports.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Proactively address project challenges.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted technical advisor.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and presentations.

Qualifications

Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. If you have eight or more years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm, we want to talk. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
