Mars is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the development and execution of packaging and processing solutions for Innovation and Supply Chain initiatives. You will define scope, specify equipment, and provide technical recommendations while aligning with stakeholders.

Roles are based in Jackson, TN, Chicago, IL, Battle Creek, MI or Cary, NC. You will drive value through technical excellence, advance manufacturing capability, and champion safety and sustainability across the supply chain.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with strong fundamentals.
• 7 years of work experience in a comparable technical position or 15 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of process, packaging, electrical, construction and project management principles.
• Experience leading and managing projects and project teams.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% or more depending on project demands.

These roles will either be based out of Jackson, TN, Chicago, IL, Battle Creek, MI or Cary, NC.

As a Senior Project Engineer, lead the development and execution of packaging and processing solutions that support Innovation and Supply Chain initiatives. Deliver cost-effective, high-quality project scope definition, equipment specifications, and technical recommendations through strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment. These roles will either be based out of Jackson, TN, Chicago, IL, Battle Creek, MI or Cary, NC.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of work experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry or 15 years of relevant technical experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering principles from the following disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction and Project Management.
• Experience leading and managing projects and project teams.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to a wide range of individuals and audiences with different knowledge levels.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% or more depending on project demands.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
