Job summary

Körber is hiring a senior engineering professional to lead execution-based system integration projects in the United States. You will coordinate mechanical design, controls, electrical, and software efforts to deliver complex automation solutions on-site and remotely.

You will manage scope, cost, and resources while traveling up to 30% to support customer implementations and ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of system-level engineering experience in material handling, automation, or capital equipment.
  • Experience with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and creating full technical data packs (drawings, BOMs, manuals).
  • Ability to manage scope, cost, and resources in fast-paced projects.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; valid passport or ability to obtain travel documents.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution-based engineering for large-scale system integration projects, acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers and internal teams.
  • Translate requirements into actionable engineering plans, coordinating mechanical design, equipment specifications, and on-site implementation.
  • Work across disciplines (Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, Software) to align deliverables, troubleshoot issues, and drive schedule adherence.
  • Manage engineering execution from kick-off through commissioning, including site support, FAT/SAT participation, and resolution of field issues.
  • Oversee internal and external engineering resources, including offshore teams or outsourced partners, on a per-project basis.
  • Apply practical understanding of conveyor, singulation, sortation, and other material handling technologies to ensure seamless system performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Manufacturing to validate feasibility, cost, and scope alignment during project planning.
  • Travel up to 30% to support customer integration projects.

Your role in our team

Your profile
  • You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
  • You have gained a minimum of five (5) years of experience in system-level engineering, ideally in material handling, automation, or capital equipment environments
  • You have experience with 3D CAD tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks, and are familiar with developing full technical data packages (drawings, BOMs, manuals)
  • You can balance design intent with execution realities, managing scope, cost, and resource constraints
  • You have a collaborative, hands‑on mindset with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments where outcomes matter
  • You have a strong track record in project execution—owning technical delivery from engineering through on‑site installation
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as required by business needs
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, all required travel documentation, including a valid passport where international travel is necessary
  • Must be able to lawfully enter and exit the United States and other countries required for business travel
  • Must not have any legal or regulatory restrictions that would prevent the issuance, renewal, or use of required travel documents, or otherwise limit the ability to fulfill the travel requirements of the role

This is a full‑time, exempt position with a hybrid work schedule for individuals located within 30 miles of our Atlanta, Georgia, or within 50 miles of ur Irving, Texas, offices. Employees in these locations are expected to work three days per week in the office. Individuals located outside of these areas will work remotely.
