The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is seeking a Senior Project Director to drive planning and execution of projects while building strong relationships with customers, funders, partners, and staff. The role focuses on health equity, quality improvement, high reliability, and system transformation across healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of experience leading teams and/or managing direct reports.
• 2+ years of formally applying Quality Improvement (QI) methodologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic direction and performance of a portfolio of projects
• Monitor progress, provide guidance, and resolve escalated issues or risks
• Serve as a mentor and escalation point for Project Directors
• Ensure resource allocation across projects and address gaps
• Develop risk management plans and ensure client satisfaction
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of PDs and projects
• Establish quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement
• Guide PDs in implementing project adjustments and transitions to operations
• Collaborate with business development to refine strategies and proposals
