A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Senior Associate to join its Project Development & Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience, with a focus on project development and/or finance, ideally gained at a large national or international law firm. Duties
- Provide legal counsel on complex project development and finance matters.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating complex transactions, including joint ventures, financing agreements, and development contracts.
- Draft and review a variety of project-related legal documents, including financing agreements, development contracts, and regulatory filings.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to develop strategies for new business opportunities.
- Offer leadership and guidance to junior associates and paralegals.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development of legal strategies.
- Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to project development and finance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project development and/or finance.
- Strong background in managing complex projects and transactions.
- Proven experience working at a national or international law firm preferred.
- Ability to handle a high caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the state bar where the position is based (Texas, New York, or California).
Certifications
Bar Admission in the relevant state (Required).
