Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Senior Associate for its Project Development & Finance practice in Houston. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience focusing on project development and/or finance, preferably from a large national or international law firm.

You will provide counsel on complex matters, draft and negotiate significant agreements, and mentor junior team members while managing multiple high-stakes projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the state bar where the position is based (TX, NY, or CA).

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel on complex project development and finance.
  • Structure and negotiate complex transactions, including joint ventures, financing agreements, and development contracts.
  • Draft and review project-related legal documents, including financing agreements and development contracts.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to develop strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Offer leadership and guidance to junior associates and paralegals.
  • Participate in client meetings and develop legal strategies.
  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to project development and finance.

Job Overview

A law firm is seeking a highly qualified Senior Associate to join its Project Development & Finance practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience, with a focus on project development and/or finance, ideally gained at a large national or international law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to contribute to high-profile projects and work in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Location: Houston, Texas

Duties
  • Provide legal counsel on complex project development and finance matters.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating complex transactions, including joint ventures, financing agreements, and development contracts.
  • Draft and review a variety of project-related legal documents, including financing agreements, development contracts, and regulatory filings.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and stakeholders to develop strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Offer leadership and guidance to junior associates and paralegals.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development of legal strategies.
  • Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to project development and finance.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project development and/or finance.
  • Strong background in managing complex projects and transactions.
  • Proven experience working at a national or international law firm preferred.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the state bar where the position is based (Texas, New York, or California).
Certifications

Bar Admission in the relevant state (Required).
