Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Development Lead to drive utility-scale solar and storage projects across the West and Northwest, with an emphasis on complex contracts and cross-functional team leadership.

You will own strategy, schedules and budgets, coordinate permitting and interconnection, and manage stakeholder relations while traveling 25% or more. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience are required.

The role

You'll lead utility-scale solar, storage and large-load projects across the West and Northwest, with a focus on the BPA service territory. You'll run cross-functional teams of internal staff and consultants, so strong judgment, project management and leadership matter more than deep technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Own project strategy, schedules, budgets and risk management

• Lead site acquisition and landowner lease negotiations

• Coordinate permitting, environmental studies and interconnection

• Manage community relations

• Support opportunity screening, pro forma modeling, and PPA and asset sale negotiations

• Travel 25% or more of the time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of renewable energy development experience

• A track record managing utility-scale projects and negotiating contracts

• Knowledge of regional permitting and regulatory frameworks

• Experience with federal projects, tribal nations or Primavera/MS Project is a plus
