Wawa, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Delivery Professional to join the IT Project Delivery team. You will partner with business areas and IT service teams to assess needs, define requirements, and deliver solutions using formal project management methodologies across all project phases.

You will lead projects, manage scope, timelines and resources, and ensure effective testing and deployment. Strong leadership and communication are essential for driving value and aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a technical discipline, or related experience.
  • 5 to 7 plus years of IT related work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role with strong background in IT project leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership on projects from inception to completion using project management best practices.
  • Collaborate with business partners, IT service teams, PMO and external providers to align goals and outcomes.
  • Lead medium projects or enhancements, estimate durations, manage resources and budgets, and report risks and issues.
  • Develop operational and support models and capture lessons learned after project completion.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and document business requirements, write functional specs and user stories.
  • Create change requests and coordinate with QA during integration testing and releases.
  • Plan and execute test scripts and user acceptance testing with businessowners; ensure end-to-end testing is robust.
  • Investigate software, document system requirements, evaluate technologies and perform gap analysis.
  • Act as a consultant to the business and understand their needs, strategies, and goals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for SLAs and for the Application Support team to meet SLAs.

Job Description

Job Summary

The Senior Project Delivery Professional is a member of the IT Project Delivery team focusing on Wawa’s business areas. The team serves as primary point of interaction with IT, and multiple business areas. In this role, the associate will work with business partners to assess business needs and to recommend solutions that deliver value by analyzing, defining, documenting requirements and by using formal project management methodologies to deliver solutions in all phases. Perform project leadership role to deliver projects and enhancements in a matrixed organization that drive innovation, streamline business processes and deliver on business strategy.

Principal Duties

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role with strong background in IT project leadership
